To book a tour, please read the following Terms and Conditions then use the links below to either submit an electronic booking or print out the pdf form and send it by fax or post. You will then get confirmation of whether or not there are places available on the tour.
You will also get an invoice for the deposit (or for the full amount if within 42 days of the holiday). Payment of this will then secure your place(s). The invoice will detail the remaining amount and the date it should be paid by.

You will also get details of the meeting place for the start of the tour, and a suggested list of items you may wish to bring.

Booking Terms and Conditions

  1. Costs The cost of the holiday, unless otherwise stated, includes:-
    • Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and the services of your guide and storyteller.
    • Prices are based on two people sharing a room. Please contact to check prices for family groups or single accommodation. Single rooms may not always be available. Most rooms are en suite.
    • Visitor attractions if stated. 
    • Luggage transport - 1 case/person. Guitars/fiddles no extra charge, but please say if you intend to bring one.
  2. Cycle hire is not included, but can be arranged at an additional cost of £100/week.
  3. Numbers There is a maximum number of 8 people on a tour. This can increase to 10 to allow a family or group to join a tour.
  4. Deposit A deposit of 10% of the holiday price secures your place's. Booking can initially be made by email, letter or telephone, and will be confirmed when your deposit has been received. Full payment should be made 42 days before the first day of the holiday.
    • Cost of cancellations:
      If you cancel more than 42 days before the holiday starts - the deposit (10%)
      Between 42 and 21 days before the holiday starts - 50% of total cost
      Less that 21 days before the holiday starts - 100% of total cost
    • In the unlikely event of Storybikes having to cancel your holiday you will receive a full refund immediately
  5. Financial Security At all times a 'lien' is held, by an independent broker, over sufficient assets to ensure that in the unlikely event that Storybikes ceases trading before you have completed your holiday you will be fully refunded.
  6. Itinerary The advertised itinerary should be taken as a guide. There may be some variations.
  7. Insurance You are advised to take out your own holiday insurance, covering yourself for cancellation, loss of luggage, personal injury and third party liability while cycling. For UK travel cover try Travel Quest's insurance section which provides links to UK holiday insurance suppliers – here you'll find a good selection of holiday insurance providers offering single trip, multi-trip and annual cover; as well as specialist travel insurance for older travellers, families, cyclists, skiers, GAP years, backpackers and adventure activities.
    Storybikes is not liable for your own illness or accident before or during the holiday, nor can it be responsible for damage to or loss of your luggage and personal belongings, or for your own cycles.
  8. Bicycles and Safety. If bringing your own cycles, please ensure that they have been serviced and that tyres are in good condition, and please use some form of puncture protection (e.g. Slime tapes). All participants are expected to be competent cyclists and to be able to follow the Highway code. Parents will be responsible for their own children. Participants who ride dangerously will be asked to leave the tour. Under these circumstances no refund can be given.
    Anyone coming on a cycling holiday must be in reasonable physical health. If in any doubt please consult you doctor.
